By making a booking, the customer agrees to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before confirming any appointment. If anything is unclear, the customer should ask for clarification before the work begins.

For the purposes of these terms, references to “we”, “us”, and “our” mean the service provider, and references to “you” and “your” mean the customer, client, or any person acting on behalf of the customer. These terms apply to all Carpet Cleaning N4 services unless a separate written agreement has been made. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under UK law.

A booking may be made by phone, email, online form, or any other method we make available from time to time. When making a booking, you must provide accurate information about the premises, the type of flooring or fabric to be cleaned, the approximate size of the area, access arrangements, parking restrictions, and any known issues such as pre-existing damage, strong staining, delicate fibres, or prior treatment. We may rely on the information you provide when calculating the price, estimating the time required, and deciding which equipment and products are suitable.

Once a booking request is received, we may confirm availability and provide an estimate or fixed price. A booking is only confirmed when we have accepted the order and, where applicable, received any deposit or advance payment requested. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking before the work begins if the information supplied is incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for safe and effective service delivery. We may also decline work that we reasonably believe cannot be completed without risk to property, people, or equipment.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the property is accessible at the scheduled time. This includes arranging entry, removing fragile items where appropriate, securing pets, and making sure the working area is reasonably clear. If we arrive and are unable to carry out the service because of lack of access, unsafe conditions, or failure to prepare the area, the appointment may still be chargeable. In some cases, we may offer to wait, rearrange, or proceed at our discretion, but additional charges may apply if delays affect the schedule.

Where a quotation is provided, it will usually be based on the information available at the time. Unless stated otherwise, quotations are valid for a limited period and may change if the scope of work changes. A quotation does not include hidden damage, unusually heavy soiling, urine contamination, mould, extensive pet odour treatment, or work that becomes necessary after inspection. Carpet Cleaning N4 will always try to explain any revised cost before proceeding.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due immediately on completion of the work. We may accept bank transfer, card payment, cash, or another method specified by us, but we are not obliged to accept every form of payment in every case. If a deposit is required to secure the booking, that deposit may be non-refundable except where cancellation is due to our fault or where the law requires otherwise.

All prices are stated in pounds sterling unless otherwise indicated. Prices may include VAT where applicable, and if VAT is charged, this will be shown separately or included in the quoted price. If the customer requests additional work during the appointment, such as treating extra rooms, upholstery items, stair carpets, or specialist stains, those additional services may be charged at our current rates. If the customer refuses to pay for properly completed additional work that was requested on site, we may retain title to any report, record, or supporting documentation until payment is settled, where lawful to do so.

Late payment may result in administrative charges, statutory interest, recovery costs, or other remedies available to us under UK law. If a payment is reversed, disputed without proper cause, or returned unpaid, the customer will remain responsible for the outstanding balance and any reasonable fees incurred in recovering it. We may suspend future bookings or services until all overdue amounts are paid in full. Nothing in these terms limits any rights we may have to recover debts through lawful means.

Cancellations and rescheduling must be made with reasonable notice. If you wish to cancel or move an appointment, you should notify us as soon as possible. Where we have arranged staff, equipment, products, travel, or specialist materials specifically for your booking, we may charge a cancellation fee if the booking is cancelled too late for us to reallocate the slot. Unless a different notice period is stated at the time of booking, cancellations made within 24 hours of the appointment may be chargeable.

If you are a consumer and have booked services at a distance, you may have rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. However, if you ask us to begin the service within the cancellation period, you may be required to pay for any part of the service already provided up to the point of cancellation. Any express request to start work early should be treated as your agreement to such charges. If a booking is cancelled because of unavoidable events beyond your control, such as serious illness or emergency, we may, at our discretion, offer to reschedule without penalty.

We may cancel or suspend a booking if there are circumstances outside our control, if the premises are unsafe, if the customer breaches these terms, or if performance would be unlawful or impractical. In such cases, we may offer an alternative date or refund any prepaid amount that relates to work not carried out, subject to lawful deductions for time, travel, or materials already used. We will not be liable for delay or cancellation caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, transport disruption, labour shortages, illness, or equipment failure.

Waste handling and site preparation during carpet cleaningOur liability is limited in accordance with UK law. We will carry out carpet cleaning and related services with reasonable care and skill, using methods and products that we believe are suitable for the item and its condition. However, some carpets, rugs, fibres, dyes, backing materials, underlays, and previous treatments may react unpredictably to cleaning. Natural wear, pre-existing damage, colour loss, pile distortion, shrinkage, seam separation, watermarking, or hidden defects may become apparent during or after cleaning. We are not responsible for damage caused by such pre-existing conditions unless caused by our negligence.

We are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of opportunity, indirect loss, or consequential loss arising from the service, except where such liability cannot legally be excluded. Our total liability for direct loss or damage arising from any single booking will be limited to the amount paid for that specific service, unless a higher level of liability is required by law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

If you believe damage has occurred, you must notify us as soon as reasonably possible and no later than a reasonable period after the service, providing photographs and a clear description of the issue. We may ask to inspect the item before any repair or replacement is arranged. You must take reasonable steps to minimise any loss. Any claim will be assessed fairly, taking into account the nature of the textile, the condition before cleaning, the method used, and whether the customer gave accurate information. Waste management and disposal are handled in line with applicable UK regulations. We will dispose of waste generated by our operations, such as used consumables or packaging, in a lawful and responsible manner. If cleaning produces waste water, contaminated residue, removed fibres, or other material that cannot be safely reused, we will manage it according to relevant environmental and drainage requirements. You agree not to ask us to dispose of prohibited, hazardous, or unidentified waste without prior arrangement and written acceptance from us.

You are responsible for informing us of any substances or conditions that may affect waste handling, including chemical contamination, bodily fluids, pests, mould, asbestos, or other regulated material. If such conditions are discovered during the work, we may stop the service immediately and require specialist treatment or disposal. Any extra costs arising from specialist waste handling, protective measures, or legal compliance will be chargeable to you where the issue was not disclosed beforehand. We may refuse to continue if doing so would breach health, safety, environmental, or disposal obligations.

Any complaint should be raised promptly so that it can be investigated properly. We may request evidence, access to the treated area, and an opportunity to inspect or remedy the matter before any refund, reduction, or alternative solution is considered. Where a valid issue is identified, our preferred approach is to re-clean the affected area or otherwise put matters right where reasonably possible. This does not affect any rights you may have under UK consumer law.

We may make reasonable changes to these terms from time to time to reflect legal, operational, or administrative updates. The version in force at the time of your booking will normally apply to that booking, unless a change is required by law or is beneficial to you. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. No waiver of any right or remedy will operate unless it is made expressly in writing.

The contract between you and us is governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may still have rights to bring proceedings in your local courts where permitted by applicable law. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably may be submitted to the courts having appropriate jurisdiction. These terms form the entire agreement between the parties concerning the service, unless varied in writing by authorised representatives.
